SC State Fair: photojournalism

There is a lot to do at the SC State Fair in Columbia, from lemonade stands and foodtrucks to ferris wheels and thrill rides.
Fairgoers eagerly watch the Swifty Swine Swimming and Racing Pig Show as the young pigs race around the track.
Declan Dewerdt is a big fan of the State Fair Slide. Even though it’s only his second visit to the fair, it’s already his favorite. His dad has been attending the State Fair ever since he was young, and he hopes to continue the tradition with Declan.
Evelyn Lagrange enjoys the petting zoo with the assortment of animals. Her mother, Julie Lagrange, says “You can see how she’s waving at the animals that she’s a true southern belle.”
